Cleveland Cavaliers vs New York Knicks Prediction, Odds and Picks

Whenever the Cavaliers and Knicks play it’s always an intense match-up and we expect nothing less from Monday’s affair at Madison Square Garden. Find out who we like in our Cleveland Cavaliers vs New York Knicks predictions below!

Starting the season at 3-0 is impressive, but when you look at their schedule the Cavaliers have only just played the Raptors, Pistons and Wizards which are 3 lottery teams. The ascent of Evan Mobley is finally happening, but until this team faces a few formidable opponents I’m reserving my judgement on them. They have the 2nd best offensive rating only behind Boston and are 4th in defensive rating allowing just 105.2 points per 100 possessions. All that is well and good, but let’s see how they do against a Knicks team that’s beaten them in 5 of the last 6 meetings.

We saw a solid bounce back performance by the Knicks following their season opener loss to Boston. They took care of the Pacers 123-98 on Friday, which means they’ve had two days of rest before tonight’s game. Having extra rest in between games is much needed for a team that broke down due to injuries in last year’s postseason. Jalen Brunson is producing at a high level, while newest Knicks Karl-Anthony Town is fitting in just fine.

Judging by how last season’s games between these two teams went, I think we should be focusing on the point total here. The Knicks and Cavs didn’t have a single game in 3 meetings where both teams went over the 100-point mark. Those games averaged just 196.3 points per game, with the line being set at a massive 222.5 points here, the under is just too tempting to pass up.

Under 222.5 Total Points is available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
