Colts vs Giants: New York WR Malik Nabers ‘gameday decision’

New York Giants’ rookie receiver Malik Nabers is unsure about his status for this Sunday’s Week 17 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Nabers would suffer a toe injury this past week against Atlanta and did not practice on Thursday. Nabers would tell media members that he’s “feeling all right” and considers himself a “gameday decision” as of now.

In a season for the Giants that has them sitting at just two wins, along with having the lowest-scoring offense in football, Nabers has been a major bright spot for them.

Even with missing two games this season, Nabers has totaled 969 receiving yards while catching 65 percent of his targets with four touchdowns. He has been a major focal point of the New York passing game, totaling 149 targets, the most among any receiver in football.

Wan’Dale Robinson is the Giants’ second leading receiver with 115 targets, 585 yards, and two touchdowns, with most of his playing time coming from the slot.

Drew Lock is expected to be at quarterback once again this week for New York.

On the season, the Colts’ pass defense is allowing 6.9 yards per pass attempt, which ranks 25th, and includes a number of big plays surrendered through the air. The pass rush, however, can help their secondary out by getting after a Giants’ offensive line that has allowed the second-highest pressure rate in 2024.
