Daniel Jones puts accuracy on full display in impressive day at Giants camp

Observations from Giants training camp on Tuesday.

Keeping up with the Joneses

Daniel Jones had an accurate day during 11-on-11 drills, with only three passes falling incomplete.

One was batted down by Dexter Lawrence and another was dropped by Jalin Hyatt. Jones also connected on a deep crossing route to Darius Slayton.

Down on the corner

Starting cornerback Deonte Banks had some shaky moments, including getting beat by Slayton on a go route early in practice.

Caught my eye

Running back Eric Gray burst into the secondary a few times after breaking a 48-yard TD run in the preseason opener.

Gray could have a more prominent role depending on how long rookie Tyrone Tracy Jr., who suffered an ankle injury Tuesday, is sidelined.

Injury report

Tracy was carted off the field, though it appears he avoided a serious injury.

Lawrence Cager (groin) could be out “a little while,” according to Brian Daboll.

Evan Neal (ankle) and John Michael Schmitz (shoulder) returned to 11-on-11 drills in practice.

Malik Nabers (ankle), Drew Lock (hip), Jon Runyan (shoulder) and Dru Phillips (ankle) did not practice.
