Daniels, Nabers have $10K bet on winning OROY
Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers are betting on themselves when it comes to winning Offensive Rookie of the Year.
The Washington Commanders quarterback shared that he and the New York Giants receiver have a $10,000 wager on who will win the prestigious award for best offensive rookie.
“He wasn’t supposed to tell nobody,” Daniels told Keyshawn Johnson on the “All Facts No Brakes” podcast. “We got a little something going on.”
Nabers initially revealed the bet on an episode of “The Pivot” podcast.
The wager could be at odds with the NFL’s gambling policy. The 2022 version of the league’s gambling policy stated that a violation included “private wagers between teammates, family and friends, or others.”
The league office did not respond to questions about if it would violate the gambling policy, per ESPN’s John Keim.
Daniels was drafted second overall by the Commanders, while the Giants took Nabers with the sixth pick.
