Devin Booker continues his ‘summer of giving’ as he gifts new signature sneakers to New York basketball fans
Devin Booker may have found a new hobby, one that extends from putting smiles on fans’ faces in arenas and via TV sets to putting branded pairs of sneakers to fans. He has continually endeared himself to his supporters with this act of kindness.
It all started randomly in Paris when he was part of the all-conquering Team USA basketball team. He recently as yesterday, Monday stormed New York’s West 4th Street basketball courts and personally distributed boxes of his “Book 1” shoes to the fans present.
Devin Booker has not only found success on the court but has also found it in the commercial aspect of his brand. It was reported that his Nike signature sold out minutes after it was released. As such, he decided to share in his success by putting smiles on the faces of fans.
The moment ended up with him taking pictures with those present as the emotions on their faces said it all. However, he knows he won’t receive the same treatment when he pays a visit to the Garden to face rivals, the New York Knicks. The hostile Knicks fans can guarantee him a different welcome.
Devin Booker gets a morale boost from NBA legend, Kevin Garnett
Beyond his kind heart, Devin Booker is a fierce competitor and wild shooter showing up consistently for the Phoenix Suns. His quiet demeanor might fool you, but in there is a player who averaged 27.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game last season for the Suns.
Big things are expected of him in the forthcoming season. Veteran Kevin Garnett believes in their championship potential. As such, he sought out D-Book when he reacted to a clip on Instagram of the star.
This the DEV BOOK I WANT THIS YEAR.. Nothing else.. get back to it Dbook. Fr Fr.. respect Kevin Garnett on his Instagram story
Booker has seen his stock rise in recent times, from being labeled the unsung hero at the Olympics by head coach Steve Kerr. This was after an excellent and quiet performance as he sacrificed for the good of the team. However, he was recently challenged by Charles Barkley to play a more vocal leadership role with the evergreen Kevin Durant approaching his last lap.
