A profitable exchange for Partizan Mozzart Bet via a peculiar connection to the NBA and a recent blockbuster trade.
After signing with the team based in Belgrade during the offseason, Duane Washington Jr. has been included in the trade centered on Karl-Anthony Towns moving from the Minnesota Timberwolves to the New York Knicks, according to The Athletic.
Entering the deal between the Knicks and Timberwolves, the Charlotte Hornets reportedly receive three second-round draft picks, Partizan’s Washington, DaQuan Jeffries, and Charlie Brown Jr. Also, the draft rights of James Nnaji, who is currently playing at Girona on loan from FC Barcelona, are moving from Charlotte to New York.
Besides the additional details, Towns was already heading to the Knicks with Julius Randle, Donte DiVincenzo, Keita Bates-Diop, and a protective first-round draft pick shifting to the Wolves.
Of course, Washington is under contract with Partizan. However, he is expected to be released from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague participant to join the Knicks, then traded to the Hornets, and eventually released once more to return to Partizan with a new contract.
Besides the creativity between the involved NBA teams, helping them adjust their salary cap figures accordingly would result in profit for Partizan. The Knicks intend to buy out Washington’s contract with Partizan and pay up to one million dollars, as Serbian outlet Mozzart Sport reported.
After starting the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season with two wins, the team coached by Zeljko Obradovic will start the EuroLeague Regular Season with an away game against Baskonia on Thursday.
