Eagles vs. Giants Week 18: How to watch, game time, odds, history and more

We made it to the 2024 NFL regular season finale for the Philadelphia Eagles (13-3) with a home game against the New York Giants (3-13).

Head coach Nick Sirianni admitted earlier in the week that most of the starters would be rested for this Week 18 game. They’ve already secured a playoff spot, already won the NFC East, and after playing 12 games in a row since their early Week 5 bye, those guys need a break.

It was a tough decision for Sirianni who had to carefully weigh the option of letting Saquon Barkley go for the NFL all-time rushing record. The RB was 101 rushing yards away, but ultimately, they made a team decision to be safe, rather than sorry, avoid injury, and head into the postseason a little refreshed.

While it’s certainly disappointing, it’s also understandable. And now, the Eagles depth players and young guys will get some really valuable reps and game experience. Quarterback Tanner McKee will get to show off a little, Jahan Dotson and Ainias Smith will get some new looks, and the offensive line depth will be able to shake off any rust. Not only is this experience good for the individual player, but should injuries happen throughout the rest of this team’s journey, these guys will have confidence and be better prepared to step up into a bigger role.

The Giants should be doing their best to tank, but they already seemed to give up on the overall No. 1 draft pick this spring after a surprisingly big win in Week 17 against the Colts. That moral victory knocked them out of the top spot, and if they somehow manage to beat the Eagles on Sunday, they could drop out of the Top 5 altogether.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the game.

Despite plans to rest most of the starters, the Eagles are still favored to win this Week 18 matchup.

Philadelphia Eagles: -2.5 (-146)

History Lesson

The Eagles lead the all-time series between these NFC East opponents, 91-86-2, and have won five of their six most-recent meetings. Philly last won back in Week 7, when the team traveled to MetLife Stadium, in what was Saquon Barkley’s much-anticipated return to New York, and the running back made sure to leave a mark — to the tune of 17 carries for 176 yards and a TD, leading the Eagles to a 28-3 win.
