Eli Manning welcomes New England boy Keegan Bradley to New York in all-time Ryder Cup hype video
New York and New England don’t get along. Not when it comes to sports and certainly not when it comes to chowdah. But next fall the long-time adversaries will call a truce when the USA Ryder Cup team marches into Bethpage Black with Vermont kid Keegan Bradley at the vanguard. And who better to welcome Bradley to the Big Apple following Tuesday’s Ryder Cup captaincy nod than the guy who bested Tom Brady in not one but two Super Bowls, Eli Manning?
As far as olive branches go, this is an all-timer. “New Yorkers might even forget you’re a Pats fan,” Manning quips over grainy footage of past Ryder Cup triumphs. “The Ryder Cup is so much bigger than that. My New Yorkers only care that you bleed red, white and blue and that you win.”
Considering the home team has won the last five Ryder Cups dating back to Team Europe’s historic comeback at Medinah in 2012, there’s a good chance Bradley will deliver that dub next September. He may want to leave that Patriots hat at home, though. In fact, if 2023 was any indication, he may not want to bring any hat all.
