50 Cent turned up the heat at New York Fashion Week with a surprise performance that had everyone talking.
The event? A star-studded bash to celebrate Poppi’s new Cherry Cola flavor, where the 49-year-old rapper shared the scene with none other than Emily Ratajkowski, and a slew of other A-listers.
Held at the Poppi World pop-up in Soho on Friday, September 6, the evening transcended a typical drink launch, turning into a full-scale spectacle. “When two faves maximize their joint slay, everybody wins. Ripe cherry collabs with crisp, refreshing cola for this juicy twist on a classic,” reads the new flavor’s description on the brand’s website.
Amidst the red decor, 50 Cent — whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III — delivered renditions of “Candy Shop,” “P.I.M.P.,” and “In Da Club” from a cherry-shaped stage.
Among the glittering attendees was Ratajkowski, 33, who was spotted rocking a sheer mesh T-shirt revealing her black bra and a pair of black skinny jeans.
Olympic gymnast Suni Lee, 21, was also there, dazzling in a white cocktail dress, while Michael Rainey Jr., star of Power Book II: Ghost, was seen enjoying the evening alongside the “Just A Lil Bit” singer.
Maria Georgas, recently in the spotlight due to The Bachelorette drama, was all smiles, giving Poppi’s new Cherry Cola a kiss of approval.
The venue also played host to top models and personalities like Jasmine Tookes, Camille Kostek, Devon Windsor, Georgia Fowler, and Brooks Nader.
NBA star Kevin Love, beauty mogul Patrick Ta, and reality TV stars Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks were among the other notable figures mingling and enjoying the atmosphere.
This NYFW bash is another jewel in 50 Cent’s crown of career milestones. In an August interview with US Weekly, the dad of two reflected on his journey.
“I quantify the level of successes and wins I’ve achieved. I have far exceeded anyone’s expectations of me,” he stated, adding, “I think my longevity and staying power in the industry have surprised many, but that’s what drives me further. I’m not in a hurry to reach billionaire status. I’ve reached a point where I don’t want anything I don’t have. What’s the rush? I’ve bought every car I wanted, multiple times over.”
50 Cent first became a father in 1996, when he welcomed his son Marquise with Shaniqua Tompkins. His second son, Sire, was born in 2012 to his then-partner Daphne Joy.
