Ex-Browns pass rusher signs with new NFL team
FLORHAM PARK, NJ (WKBN) – Former Cleveland Browns pass rusher Takk McKinley officially signed a free agent deal with the New York Jets.
He signed with the Browns during the 2021 offseason and appeared in 11 games with 2 starts that year.
He registered 2.5 sacks and 3 tackles for loss with Cleveland before suffering a torn Achilles tendon, which ended his season.
In 2022, he appeared in 4 games for the Rams and spent a majority of last season on the Cowboys’ practice squad.
The 28-year-old McKinley was originally a first-round pick, selected at No. 26 by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2017 NFL Draft out of UCLA.
Over four full seasons with Atlanta, he played in 49 games with 25 starts. During his time in Atlanta, he recorded 17.5 sacks, 22 tackles for loss and 45 QB hits.
