Exclusive | Brutal Wan’Dale Robinson trend points to a more insidious Giants problem

He looks back and he knows he should have one more catch, for 51 yards, and if he did, perhaps the Giants would have one more victory and he would not be at the bottom of the NFL pack in a category where no wide receiver wants to be.

It was that ill-fated flea-flicker back in Week 10 in Munich, when the play call from Brian Daboll was perfect and Wan’Dale Robinson and Malik Nabers were both running free through the back end of the Panthers defense. Robinson was the deeper of the two options and knew if he got the ball he would have turned up the right sideline and scored. But Daniel Jones hesitated just long enough to ruin the play and he took an 8-yard sack.

“It was definitely one of those opportunities, yeah, that’s kind of a gimme,’’ Robinson told The Post on Wednesday after practice. “Wish we could have that one back.’’

The blown chance in Germany was a perfect illustration why Robinson is a symptom of the sickness that is the New York Giants offense. The third-year wide receiver is the worst in the NFL at something he is supposed to be one of the best at. Up is down, left is right and Mr. Robinson cannot run away from anyone.
