Fans left divided after Giants release new 2024 NFL season uniforms

NFL fans had mixed reactions to the New York Giants releasing new jerseys for the 2024 season.

The Giants revealed on Thursday that they’ll wear a throwback alternate uniform which will be worn up to two times this season.

New York will wear the Century Red uniform to celebrate their 100th season.

The jersey was designed by Nike in collaboration with the Giants.

The new throwback uniform features nods to the 1933 jersey, 1938 helmet, and 1925 pants and socks.

The red top has a blue middle with white numbers and an old-fashioned font.

The pants are tan and are paired with red-and-blue-striped socks.

The helmet also features the shape of wings.

But the uniform left NFL fans divided as some revealed their disapproval of the look.

“Throw them away,” one commented.

“They stopped wearing these for a reason,” another wrote.

“Worst uniforms in the league,” a third stated.

While other fans were impressed with the throwback uniform.

“Wow, these actually look pretty nice, good job Giants,” one posted.

“I like them!” another added.

It’s yet to be announced which games the Giants will don the throwback uniform.

The color red was a big part of the Giants’ color scheme in the first three decades of existence.

In 2004, the primary red made a comeback to the franchise and was used as the team’s alternative jersey.

The Giants, however, had a 1-3 record with the red jersey and stopped wearing the uniform after the 2007 season.

The Century Red uniforms will be the second time in three years the Giants have introduced a re-designed throwback jersey.

During the 2022 season, New York brought back a version of their 1980s and 1990s uniforms.
