First Take host Molly Qerim has told her beloved New York Giants to keep Brain Daboll as head coach, despite their disastrous season so far.
The Giants are 2-9 going into the Thanksgiving game against Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night, with their third choice quarterback Drew Lock leading the team at AT&T Stadium.
Before the game, Qerim invited fans to ask her anything on Instagram and the conversation quickly turned to the NFL.
‘Should the Giants fire Daboll after the season?’ one fan asked her, and her reply was defiant.
‘No! He’s not the problem,’ Qerim said in a defiant response. ‘He was just coach of the year.’
Dabol as named NFL Coach of the Year in 2022, with the team’s 9-7-1 record taking them into the playoffs where they beat the Minnesota Vikings before losing to Philadelphia Eagles.

Daboll is under intensifying pressure as the Giants endure another nightmare campaign
Since then, however, it has been two years of misery for the Giants. Last year, quarterback Daniel Jones tore his ACL during the season and when he returned this season, struggled to recapture his playoff form from 2022.
He was released last week – on his own request – and has signed with the Vikings for the remainder of the season as he looks to rebuild his form and confidence.
The replacement for Jones, Tommy DeVito, misses the Cowboys game on Thursday with a forearm issue sustained in the loss to Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday.
Daboll is under increasing pressure in his role as head coach and according to the 40-year-old Qerim’s First Take co-host Stephen A. Smith, he doesn’t want to be there.
‘I think he wants to lose it. I don’t think Brian Daboll wants to be there,’ Smith said on First Take.
‘The GM (Joe Schoen) deserves to be fired. Brian Daboll deserves to be let out of his misery. Those are two different things.’
