Florida hoops coach Todd Golden accused of creepily stalking students: ‘There’s a picture of his d–k’

Florida men’s basketball coach Todd Golden is accused of sexually exploiting, harassing and stalking an “undefined number of women,” according to a bombshell report from the Independent Florida Alligator.

The student newspaper cites a formal Title IX complaint in which Golden allegedly requested sexual favors and sent photos and video of his genitalia via Instagram while traveling on school business.

He is also accused of taking photos of women walking or driving and sending them to subjects involved in the complaint on more than one occasion.

One former Florida student claimed Golden stalked her in person after she posted her location on her Instagram Story, with Golden replying he was “waiting for [her]” in the area — instances of this occurred more than 10 times, she told the Alligator.

She added that the 39-year-old sent unsolicited photos of his genitals, including while his team was traveling.

“At first, it starts off slow, like, ‘Oh, wow. That’s odd. This guy is showing us attention,’” the woman told the outlet. “And then it becomes, ‘Wow, he’s kind of crossing a line. No, he didn’t mean it that way.’ Then it’s, ‘Wait, he’s fully stepping over that line.’ And then it’s, ‘Wow, there’s a picture of his d–k.’ It was a full grooming process with all of us.”

A spokesperson for the University of Florida told the outlet that the school was complying with federal law and could neither confirm nor comment on Title IX inquiries, and the coaching staff did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the student newspaper.

A second woman told the Alligator that Golden would like several of her Instagram posts to get her attention before removing the likes to hide activity.

“He would go at such lengths about it,” one of the women told the outlet.

“He would go back, like a year back, and like 10 photos at once. Then, obviously [he] followed up with a DM, always in vanish mode … Just really aggressive Instagram stalking is the best way to put it.”

The school reportedly received the formal Title IX complaint on Sept. 27.

Golden came to coach the Gators in 2022, after three seasons as the head coach at the University of San Francisco.

He led Florida to the NCAA Tournament in 2024, his second season at the school, with a 24-12 overall mark.

Golden has amassed a 42-29 record in two-plus seasons with the Gators, including a 20-16 mark in SEC play.

He played collegiately at Saint Mary’s, twice making the NCAA tournament with the Gaels, and met his wife, former volleyball player Megan York, while there.

Earlier this year, he inked a contract extension through 2030.

The Gators are 2-0 to start the 2024-25 season, with a home game against Grambling State slated for Monday.
