Full injury report for Joel Embiid, Sixers vs. Knicks in NBA Cup opener
The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the New York Knicks on Tuesday to open group play in the second annual NBA Cup and will be looking to build off their win over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.
The Sixers will be a bit healthier when they take on the Knicks as they should be able to welcome a certain superstar big man to the lineup for the first time this season.
Joel Embiid, who missed the first nine games of the season due to recovering from his left knee as well as a 3-game league suspension, is not listed on the injury report against the Knicks. This will be a big boost to a 2-7 Sixers team who has had trouble finding their footing to begin the season.
Tyrese Maxey remains out due to a right hamstring strain, but his re-evaluation should be coming soon.
With Embiid back in the fold, the Sixers look to knock off a middling Knicks team at 7:30 p.m. EST on Tuesday.
