While the agenda has seemingly changed now, from 1972 to 2001, the event also housed the top 16 players in the world to compete. In case you missed the opportunity when the tickets for the highly-anticipated event went on sale, don’t fret. The 24-hour digital cable and satellite television network, Tennis Channel, will bring these power-packed showdowns to you. Tennis Channel confirmed televising the one-night-only exhibition live via Madison Square to provide simulcast coverage in the New York tri-state area. They will begin broadcasting half an hour before the event kicks off at 7 pm (ET).

Before the event’s commencement, contestants like Carlos Alcaraz talked to the reporters about several updates during the offseason. The Spaniard talked about Novak Djokovic‘s new coach Andy Murray and the inclusion of a second coach to his own team as well. His rival for the Madison Square exhibition, Ben Shelton, also expressed excitement ahead of their match-up.

While talking to the reporters in New York, Shelton expressed that the 21-year-old is his “favorite player to share the court with because of how creative he is and the style he plays. Every time we play, you hear the crowd go crazy on both sides (…). It’s one of the games I enjoy the most.”
With Shelton making a candid admission like that, the fans will fasten their seatbelts for the upcoming showdown.
