The Giants signed Joseph off the Lions’ practice squad on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After losing out in the battle for the Packers’ kicking job following training camp and the preseason, Joseph had to wait just two weeks before getting an opportunity with another team. With the Giants, he’ll be serving as a short-term replacement for Graham Gano, who is expected to miss multiple weeks after straining his right hamstring in this past Sunday’s 21-18 loss to the Commanders. The 30-year-old Joseph has appeared in 51 games with the Browns, Titans and Vikings over parts of five NFL seasons, converting 82.6 percent of his field-goal tries.
