Daniel Jones: Why NY Giants can’t let the QB hold them back any more | The Record
And make no mistake: Daniel Jones isn’t the only reason Brian Daboll and the Giants have a 2-8 record, the latest hard-to-stomach setback coming to Carolina in Germany. He is the biggest, though, and that may sound unfair, yet it’s unmistakably true.
But the quarterback is holding this franchise back. Truth is, it’s the most glaring reason this entire operation with Daboll and Schoen in charge feels like it is going nowhere fast approaching the bye week past the midpoint of Year 3.

The Giants stink. They lost to a team that already got the Saints head coach and the Raiders’ offensive coordinator fired.
Giants’ disgraceful loss to pathetic Panthers in Munich could seal Brian Daboll’s eventual firing | NJ.com
MUNICH — Brian Daboll’s Giants traveled halfway around the world — and reached a new low.
And if co-owner John Mara hadn’t guaranteed last month that he would not fire Daboll or general manager Joe Schoen during their third season, one or both could have been canned after this disastrous trip to Germany finished with a disgraceful 20-17 overtime loss Sunday to the pathetic Panthers.
