The New York Giants have unveiled their plans as they celebrate their 100th season in the NFL.
The Giants played their first season in 1925 and finished with an 8-4 record under coach Bob Falwell. With it being their centennial, the franchise will host events throughout this season to commemorate their century as an organization.
Additionally, the Giants will sell special 100th anniversary-themed merchandise at their team store and MetLife Stadium. They also unveiled their ‘100 Seasons’ logo.
‘The entire Mara family is proud to commemorate the 100th season of New York Giants football,’ John Mara, president and CEO of the Giants, said in a press release.
‘As we reflect on this landmark season, I think about my family, and most specifically my father, grandfather, and uncle, who dedicated their entire lives to the Giants and the NFL. We would not be who we are without their vision and leadership.’

The team will hold a ‘Giants 100: A Night with Legends’ event on June 20. During the affair, the greatest play in Giants History – which fans can vote over on the team website – will be announced. Franchise legends Eli Manning, Harry Carson, Tiki Barber, George Martin, Jason Sehorn, Bill Parcells, and Tom Coughlin are expected to attend the ceremony.
They will also present the Giants’ top 100 players, voted on by an independent panel, on digital and social media platforms over the summer.
Media-wise, the Giants will launch a 10-part podcast series hosted by announcer John Papa, exploring the impact that players in the top 100 list made on the franchise. They will also release a book entitled ‘New York Football Giants: The People, The Moments, The Traditions’ in September and a documentary about the life of Wellington Mara called ‘The Duke’ this fall.
To honor their former homes, the Giants will visit the Polo Grounds on the 100th anniversary of the team’s founding. On August 4, they will host a 100th-season theme day at Yankee Stadium to honor the 18 years the Giants spent playing in the arena.

Lastly, the Giants Foundation will pledge $1million in donations to 10 grants of $100,000 each to longtime charitable partners. Every donation and partner will be highlighted at a Giants home game.
‘I first saw the Giants play in person in the early 1960s when my father would take me to games at Yankee Stadium,’ said Steve Tisch, Giants executive vice president and chairman.
‘Going to Giants games was a wonderfully magical ritual. It inspired my lifelong love of the Giants. When my father became an equal partner of the Giants in 1991, it was the realization of a longtime dream. Our family has relished our association with the Giants and look forward to many years of success in the future.’
