Giants vs. Cowboys NFL prediction, odds: Same-game parlay for ‘TNF’
We’ve reached Week 4 in the NFL, as the Giants host the Cowboys on Thursday night.
Dallas opened as a 4.5-point road favorite, but that number is now up to as high as -6 at some sportsbooks.
There’s also been a move on the total from 44.5 to as high as 45.5 despite the weather forecast showing the potential for rain.
However, it’s actually wind and not rain that has a more significant impact on scoring and the passing game.
As a result, we could structure a same-game parlay that offers some correlation with the potential for a high-scoring game.
Cowboys vs. Giants odds
Team | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Cowboys | -6 (-108) | -258 | o45 (-112) |
Giants | +6 (-112) | +210 | u45 (-108) |
Cowboys vs. Giants same-game parlay
- Leg 1: Devin Singletary anytime touchdown (-110)
- Leg 2: Devin Singletary Over 2.5 receptions (-140)
- Leg 3: Cowboys team total Over 24.5 points (-120)
Devin Singletary anytime touchdown (-110)
It’s difficult not to envision Singletary playing a vital role for the Giants on Thursday. He has 42 rushes on the year while averaging 4.7 yards per carry.
Opposing teams are having their way with this Cowboys’ run defense, averaging a league-high 5.2 yards per attempt. Dallas struggled to stop the run during last year’s playoffs, and clearly those issues still exist.
There might not be an easy fix available, considering the Cowboys have the fourth-highest rate (31.1%) of eight or more defenders in the box against the run, per Athlon Sports. Yet their players are still getting pushed back on the line of scrimmage.
Singletary has two of the Giants’ six touchdowns this season, and he should continue to be a scoring option inside the red zone.
Devin Singletary Over 2.5 receptions (-140)
Teams are using their running backs to attack the Cowboys on the ground and in the air.
According to FTN Fantasy, Dallas is allowing the fourth-most yards (51.3 per game) to running backs through the first three weeks.
Singletary is tied with wide receiver Darius Slayton for the third-most targets (10), and he’s gone Over 2.5 catches twice this season and in five of his last six home games.
With quarterback Daniel Jones ranking 24th in intended air yards (6.4 per attempt) down the field, Singletary can benefit from some of those shorter check-downs to exceed his 2.5 receptions prop.
Cowboys team total over 24.5 points (-120)
Dallas has dominated this series, winning nine of the last 10 while covering the spread in seven of those games. The total is also 7-3 to the Over, with the Cowboys scoring more than 24.5 points seven times.
After losing two straight games at home, the sight of a familiar foe away from AT&T Stadium might be just what they need to get back in the win column.
While we’ve touched on how bad the Cowboys’ run defense has been, their rushing attack has also performed poorly. They rank just 29th with 3.6 yards per carry, putting added pressure on quarterback Dak Prescott and the passing game.
Betting on the NFL?
The Cowboys have the second-highest pass-play rate at 68.37% and they’ll be facing a Giants secondary that Pro Football Focus ranks 22nd in coverage.
If Dallas continues to move the ball through the air, it should have opportunities to put points on the board.

- Leg 1: Devin Singletary anytime touchdown (-110)
- Leg 2: Devin Singletary Over 2.5 receptions (-140)
- Leg 3: Cowboys team total Over 24.5 points (-120)
