Giants vs. Jets FREE stream: Watch NFL preseason finale today

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey — The Giants and Jets face off in their final preseason game Saturday at MetLife Stadium; kickoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. Eastern on NFL Network.

If you don’t have cable but still want to tune into the action, you’re in luck: Several streaming services will broadcast the games live. You can watch for free on Fubo and DirecTV Stream, which each offer a free trial to first-time users. Another option is Sling, which has promotional pricing offers for new customers.

The Giants have lost their last three preseason games against the Jets in the game termed the “Snoopy Bowl.” Big Blue is coming off a 28-10 loss to the Texans and are looking to change their ways before their regular season home opener against the Vikings on Sept. 8.

On the other hand, the Jets hope to continue their success, as they’re 2-0 in preseason with wins over the Commanders and Panthers in matchups that both ended in 3-point victories.

The question remains if Aaron Rodgers will make this year’s preseason debut in the finale after throwing multiple touchdowns against the Giants’ defense in a joint practice on Wednesday, including a 60-yard score to Garrett Wilson.

Most importantly, as he turns 41 years old this season, after tearing his left Achilles tendon in his first minute in a Jets uniform, Rodgers still feels like he can contribute.

“I feel good about where I am with my body and what I’ve put together,” he said Tuesday after practice. “I feel like I’ve done different things throughout camp as far as the rollouts, roll out and pulling up, getting out of the pocket and making plays, going back across my body, pump-faking and extending plays and getting some yards. I feel like I’ve done a lot.”

Aaron Rodgers’ next snap in a game for the New York Jets might be the season opener.

Coach Robert Saleh said Tuesday his “instinct” is to keep the 40-year-old quarterback on the sideline for all three of the Jets’ preseason games this summer. But Saleh also left open the possibility of Rodgers playing in the finale against the Giants on Aug. 24.

Rodgers hasn’t played since tearing his left Achilles tendon four snaps into last year’s season opener.

“We haven’t really talked about it,” Saleh said after practice. “My instinct right now as I stand here is we’ll see. … My instinct is no, but I want to leave it open. That third game is the one where we’re deciding.

“He definitely won’t play in the first two, but the discussion on the third one we haven’t quite had yet.”

Rodgers typically didn’t play in the preseason during his last several years in Green Bay. But he played in two series in the Jets’ finale last summer against the Giants, throwing a touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson on his last snap. Rodgers asked to play in that game to use it as a final tune-up for the regular season.

The Jets will have one joint practice against each of their preseason opponents — Washington, Carolina and the Giants — and Saleh sees a lot of value in those for players preparing for the regular season.

“Those preseason practices are so game like,” Saleh said. “The only difference is you’re not tackling. And so we feel comfortable that we’re getting the reps we need, the game-like reps, we need in a controlled environment.”

The Jets open the regular season in San Francisco against the defending NFC champion 49ers on Sept. 9 on “Monday Night Football.”
