Giants vs Steelers Expert Predictions for Week 8 Monday Night Football
Week 8 of the 2024 NFL season concludes with a Monday Night Football showdown between the New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 2-5 Giants enter the matchup having lost two in a row, while the 5-2 Steelers have won two straight, including a 37-15 beatdown against the New York Jets in quarterback Russell Wilson’s Pittsburgh debut last week.

Will the Steelers move to an incredible 6-2 on the season, or will the Giants get the big road upset? The staff at Newsweek Sports has their predictions.
Matt Levine: The Steelers are the better team and have shown the ability to win games in different ways so far. However, the Giants have been weirdly feisty this season and could give Pittsburgh a run for their money. But at the end of the day, the Steelers will defend home field and get the massive win.
Prediction: Steelers 31, Giants 15
Ricardo Sandoval: Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is one special talent, but his play alone won’t be enough against a stifling Steelers defense and a Steelers offense that looked like it was humming against the New York Jets last week. The Steelers will beat a New York team for the second week in a row and make it look easy.
Prediction: Steelers 26, Giants 10
Eva Geitheim: This is exactly the kind of team the Steelers take advantage of, though I do not think it will be a high-scoring game. The Steelers come in with more momentum and are playing better overall on both sides of the ball.
Prediction: Steelers 20, Giants 14
Noah Camras: Call me crazy, but I’m going with the Giants in a massive upset on Monday night. The Giants have been scrappy this year with near losses to the Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals, and their offense will come through on Monday night to get the upset and keep their playoff hopes alive. A loss will only enhance the Justin Fields-Russell Wilson debate.
Prediction: Giants 20, Steelers 18
James Brizuela: The Steelers have been on a roll, and they should continue their winning ways against the New York Giants. Though the Giants have Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns, who can cause many issues for Russell Wilson, Pittsburgh’s offensive line has been doing what is necessary to protect its quarterback. New York has been a bit of a mess with Daniel Jones at the helm, and the Steelers’ defense can get after him plenty with their multiple defensive stars. Expect the Steelers to run away with this one.
Prediction: Steelers 31, Giants 17
