The Jets are looking to salvage pride in a disappointing season, while the Bills are chasing playoff momentum and positioning.

The Jets have hit a rough patch, losing five of their last six games. Their Week 16 outing was a microcosm of their season: flashes of potential undone by costly mistakes. Despite outgaining the Rams 321-242 in total yards, a critical turnover shifted the game. A strip-sack by Kamren Curl on Aaron Rodgers set up the Rams on the Jets’ 21-yard line, leading to the game-winning touchdown.

With a record of 4-11, the Jets are playing for pride and looking for signs of growth heading into the offseason. QB Aaron Rodgers is still adjusting to a new system and playmakers on defense will need to shine if they hope to give Buffalo a fight.

The Bills, on the other hand, are cruising. Winners of nine of their last 10 games, Buffalo is locked in as one of the top teams in the AFC. Their Week 16 victory over the Patriots showcased their resilience, as they overcame a 14-7 halftime deficit to win 24-21.

Buffalo’s defense came alive in the second half, forcing three turnovers, including a game-changing fumble recovery in the end zone by CB Taron Johnson. On offense, RB James Cook delivered a breakout performance with 126 total yards and two touchdowns, further solidifying the Bills’ versatility.
