How to watch Mets-Brewers 2024 Wild Card series free: Schedule, streaming

After opening the 2024 season 0-5 and finding themselves 11 games out of a playoff spot in May, the New York Mets are playoff-bound.

Yesterday, the team took a worst-case scenario doubleheader and turned it into a thrilling end; between a six-run 8th inning, Edwin Diaz’s insistence on pitching a second inning to keep the lead in the 9th and Francisco Lindor’s playoff-clincing home run, the Mets turned a 3-0 deficit early on into an 8-7 win over the Braves in Game 1 of the doubleheader.

The champagne flowed (and was an especially sweet celebration for Pete Alonso, who experienced his first champagne celebration after over 840 MLB games). Still, today, it’s back to work for the first game of the NL Wild Card Series against this past weekend’s opponent: the Milwaukee Brewers.
