The Commanders went on the road with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 37-20, in a game that still inspired hope in the direction of the franchise. Daniels didn’t have great success through the air (17 of 24, 184 yards), but he held his own while also rushing 16 times for 88 yards and two touchdowns.
The Giants were 28-6 losers on their home field to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 with an offense that showed a clear lack of progress, outside of a promising showing by rookie wideout Malik Nabers. New York has a more veteran team and offense, but enters opposing territory as 1.5-point underdogs to Washington.
