How to watch the New York Rangers in Round 2 of the 2024 NHL Playoffs

After a quick first round, the New York Rangers’ quest for the Stanley Cup continues as the second round of the 2024 NHL Playoffs kicks off.

It only took four games for the Rangers to sweep the Washington Capitals in the first round. The Broadway Blueshirts will now face the Carolina Hurricanes, who beat the New York Islanders in five games.

The two teams are familiar rivals, having last faced off in the second round of the playoffs in 2022 — the series went to seven games that ended with the Rangers advancing to the Eastern Conference final.

During that 2022 series, Rangers center Vincent Trocheck, whose career-high in points and high faceoff win percentage has been pivotal to the Rangers’ success this season, was on the ice — as a Hurricane. This series, which he views as “just another series” will be the first time he faces his former team in the playoffs.
