The Eagles and Giants have been going at it for close to a century. Since their first meeting in 1933, these two have faced off 183 times, including a number of playoff battles. Philadelphia is 93-88-2 against New York, though the Giants snapped a near-three-year losing streak last season.
This year’s Eagles team certainly does not look like the playoff contender we have grown accustomed to seeing over the past two seasons. The offense has been mediocre, and the defense has been average. Yet, they have managed to squeak out wins over the Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints and Cleveland Browns. However, losses to the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers prove Philly has problems with quality opponents.
The Giants are having problems with an opponent. While they beat the Browns and Seattle Seahawks, they have been less than impressive against better teams. Last Sunday night against the Cincinnati Bengals, the G-Men scored just once, losing by a disappointing 17-7 final score. New York has lost every game it has failed to score 20 points.
The Eagles sit second in the NFC East, a half-game back of the Washington Commanders, while the Giants are last in the division, two behind the Commanders.
MY PICK: Eagles win, 21-13
