How will the new-look Knicks divide the playing time after adding Mikal Bridges?

There were valid criticisms over the way Mikal Bridges handled his disappointing last season in Brooklyn.

He was asked to be a leader, the No. 1 option, and, quite frankly, failed.

The Nets and Sean Marks did Bridges no favors with the supporting cast and the decision in December to tank an important game against the Bucks. It’s tough to ask the best player to promote winning when the organization is steering in the other direction. The Nets lost their season on that night, I’m convinced, and that downturn moment lies at the feet of Marks and owner Joe Tsai. Not Bridges.

Still, the rest of Bridges’ season was a disappointment. It prompted questions about his aptitude in a featured role. He left close observers frustrated with his play and effort.
