India vs Bangladesh, 2024 T20 World Cup warm-up match Preview: Team India will be hoping to test out their ideal combination in their only practice match ahead of the T20 World Cup when they face Bangladesh in New York City on Saturday.

The upcoming fixture between the two south Asian neighbours will be the final warm-up match of the tournament, with co-hosts USA squaring off against neighbours Canada in Dallas later on Saturday.

Given it’s a practice game and both teams can try out all 15 members of their squad (so long as there aren’t more than 11 players on the field per team at a time), the focus will not be as much on winning the contest as it will be on fine-tuning their ideal combination before the main tournament gets underway.

For Rohit Sharma and his men, the warm-up match will also be a chance to get used to the pitch and conditions at the newly-built Nassau County International Stadium, where they will be playing three out of their four group matches before the action shifts to West Indies for the Super 12s and the knockouts.

Batting superstar Virat Kohli had only recently linked up with his teammates in NYC and it remains to be seen if he plays the warm-up game or not. Additionally, the Men in Blue will also be keeping an eye on the pace department and the bowling form of all-rounder Shivam Dube, who hardly bowled during the recent Indian Premier League.
