Indian Cricket stars Chahal, Avesh, and Jaiswal depart for New York to boost Team India’s T20 WC- Republic World

The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup warm-up match between Bangladesh and India on Sat, 1 Jun at 8:00 pm in Nassau County International Cricket Stadium is set to showcase an electrifying clash as Bangladesh faces off against India’s star-studded squad, featuring the likes of Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah. This match serves as a crucial preparatory fixture for both teams as they gear up for the highly anticipated T20 World Cup, promising an action-packed encounter and offering fans a glimpse of the excitement to come in the tournament.

Team India’s Batch 2 leaves for the USA ahead of the warm-up match against Bangladesh 

The newest members of the Indian cricket team to go to New York are Yuzvendra Chahal, Avesh Khan, and Yashasvi Jaiswal. They will be part of the team preparing for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which kicks off on Saturday, June 1.

Recently, Chahal, Avesh, and Jaiswal competed in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 for the Rajasthan Royals. After losing to the SunRisers Hyderabad in Qualifier 2, they were eliminated from the competition. Hyderabad went on to win the tournament as runners-up.

Before they left, videos of Avesh, Jaiswal, and Chahal at the Mumbai airport became viral. When Avesh turned his phone to face the photographers at check-in, he was having a video conversation with Dhruv Jurel and Rinku Singh, two other cricket players, allowing the press to speak with the young players.

Subsequently, Chahal posted an image of himself, Avesh Khan, and Yashasvi Jaiswal at the airport on his official Instagram account. 

Team India, led by Rohit Sharma, will play their first T20 World Cup 2024 encounter at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 5, taking on Ireland. To get ready for the competition, the first batch of Indian players and coaches has already landed in the United States.

India’s second game, which they will play at the same location on June 9 against their longtime rivals Pakistan, is one of the most anticipated meetings.

Twenty teams are vying for the coveted trophy this year. There are four groups of five teams from each team. India, Pakistan, the co-hosts the United States, Canada, and Ireland are all in Group A.

According to the tournament’s rules, the top two teams from each group move on to the Super 8 round, while the other 12 teams are eliminated. The top four teams from the Super 8 will compete for a position in the championship game in the semi-finals.

In the 2022 competition, England, the reigning champions, won the championship by beating Pakistan in the championship match. The eventual victors, England, eliminated India in the semi-finals. Team India hopes to bounce back from previous disappointments and succeed internationally this year.
