Jack Draper’s mum swaps Surrey sofa for New York to watch semi-final

Jack Draper’s mum has changed her mind and decided to fly to New York on Thursday evening so she can watch him in the US Open semi-final.

Nicky Draper initially told the BBC that she would prefer to watch Draper’s match against world No1 Jannik Sinner from her sofa with a glass of wine, but later in the day said she’d changed her mind. “I’ve got a flight booked this evening,” she said. “I only decided this morning to go.”
