Jalen Brunson’s Brilliance Forces New York Fame to $23,000 Purchase That Even Carmelo Anthony Failed to Inspire
How long has it been since the Knicks won? As shocking as it may sound, you will need to turn back the clock to the 90s to even get a Conference Finals victory. Sure, there have been some good years here and there like the Carmelo Anthony era. But even that couldn’t end New York’s championship drought. And for the first time in years, the Knicks fanbase has hope to win it all. All thanks to the rise of Jalen Brunson!
Sure enough, even the die-hard Knicks fans are excited for what’s to come as New Yorker Joe Budden revealed, “The Knicks though, we rocking. This is the first year I bought season tickets. First year I did it. Enough is enough now. I’m convinced, I’m riding.” Yes, fully onboard the Brunson bandwagon, the media veteran has already made a massive purchase, which is likely to be around $23,100, considering the celeb has taken the season pass for courtside seats.

While the actual amount remains undisclosed, the average price of a courtside seat two seasons ago was $2,000. And for a franchise like the Magic, the courtside season package is worth $23,100. Surely, the Knicks being one of the biggest franchises in the league, will be giving out their season pass at a much higher price. But that didn’t stop Budden from going all-in this time. “We’ve never put a team on the floor to be like ‘All right we doing it now.’” He remarked on The Club 520 Podcast. But what about when Carmelo Anthony was carrying the Knicks? Many wondered, even Jeff Teague. However, Budden instantly shut him down, “Stop it. Stop it!” So, what changed?

How is the Jalen Brunson era different than the Carmelo Anthony era for the Knicks?
Did Jalen Brunson just outshine Carmelo Anthony in inspiring New York fans? React!
Obviously, there is no doubt that Melo is one of the Knicks’ most legendary players. More so because he joined at the time when the franchise was struggling to stay relevant and facing constant failure. And Melo led them to win their first playoff series of this century eleven years ago. But that’s as far as he could take the Knicks in seven years. “I know they did (win 50 games) and we was one Roy Hibbert block away from maybe going to the Eastern Conference Finals. But that was never gonna work.” Budden claimed, recalling the Melo era.

Meanwhile, Brunson has already achieved twice what Melo did only once in seven years. Yes, we are talking about reaching the Conference semis. And if it wasn’t for injuries, they might even have made it to the top as they were only one win away from reaching the East Finals. But that will likely not be a problem for them next season as Brunson is expected to return fully healthy. Along with him, even Julius Randle is on his way to a complete recovery. On top of that, the Knicks have also added Mikal Bridges to give the team more depth. And that has made the fans believe that this squad can create history by winning it all. Budden said it on behalf of all Knicks fans, “This year I’m excited to see what’s going on.” Do you think Jalen Brunson and Co. can live up to the expectations?
