Jason Sudeikis cracks jokes with tennis legend Rennae Stubbs and flashes peace signs at the crowd as he attends the US Open in NYC

Jason Sudeikis looked in high spirits on Monday as he attended day eight of the US Open Tennis Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City.

The actor, 48, put on an animated display on the outing as he flashed peace signs at the crowd and shared a giggle with ESPN presenter and former tennis player Rennae Stubbs, 53.

He cut a casual figure for the outing as he sported a multicoloured checked shirt and blue denim jeans as he sat comfortably in the stands and watched the drama unfold.

Jason completed his look with a forest green baseball cap as he tucked into some melon balls during a break in the match.

Australian tennis coach Rennae cut a stylish figure in a textured white shirt and further accessorised with a layer of gold necklaces as she interviewed Jason in the stands.

The pair watched on as world number one Iga Swiatek, 23, moved confidently into the US Open quarter-finals with a straight-set victory over Liudmila Samsonova, 25.

The Polish tennis player was made to work by 16th seed Liudmila in the first set but came through in style for a 6-4 6-1 win.

Jason’s outing comes after he was spotted courtside with his two children whom he shares with ex-Olivia Wilde, 40, last week.

The We’re The Millers star was pictured enjoying a basketball game with son Otis, 10, and daughter Daisy, seven, at the Crypto.Com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

The trio beamed as they watched the game between the New York Liberty and Los Angeles Sparks and Jason threw up a peace sign to the cameras as he sat on the sidelines.

While Jason’s ex-partner Olivia was absent for the sporty day out, the former flames reunited in June to watch their children compete in a sporting event.

Olivia and Jason warmly embraced each other as they watched their daughter compete in a sprinting event.

The former couple settled their 18-month legal battle last September with Jason agreeing to pay her $27,500 in monthly child support and footing 25% of their childcare expenses.

The pair’s eight-year relationship ended in November 2020 shortly after Olivia began dating Harry Styles who she was working with on her second directorial feature, Don’t Worry Darling.

Jason and Olivia have since thrown themselves into projects with Olivia now working on an upcoming thriller I Want Your Sex alongside Cooper Hoffman, the 21-year-old actor is the son of late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, who died in 2014 at age 46.

The actress and director is set to portray provocateur Erika Tracy, who makes Hoffman’s character Elliot her sexual muse.

The movie will explore themes of ‘sex, obsession, power, betrayal and murder’.

Meanwhile, Jason could be gearing up for another season of his hit show Ted Lasso.

According to Deadline, Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, and Brett Goldstein have agreed to return to the hit sitcom for season four.

Hannah starred as AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Welton, Jeremy was her Director of Football Operations Leslie Higgins and Brett was player-turned-coach Roy Kent.

Now, Warner Brothers, which will produce the show, must secure contracts with creators and stars Jason and Brendan Hunt, who star as the US Football coaches hired to coach the British footballers.

Juno Temple, who starred as influencer and marketer Keely Jones, is also reportedly on the list of actors the production wants to include in any new endeavour.

And, while no details have been confirmed, fans are remaining hopeful.
