Josh Hart’s Chelsea anger sparks hilarious Karl-Anthony Towns Knicks uproar
The Knicks are in the middle of a blockbuster, but Josh Hart’s attention was on Chelsea on Saturday morning.
Hart posted “Uhh… are we serious?” on X without any other context.
Fans quickly flooded to his comments, believing that he was referencing the Knicks trading for Karl-Anthony Towns.
The Post’s Stefan Bondy confirmed the Knicks are acquiring the superstar big man from the Timberwolves.
Hart’s reaction to the deal would be particular notable, since his close friend — and former Villanova teammate — Donte DiVincenzo was part of the deal, along with Julius Randle, DaQuan Jeffries and a lottery-protected first-round pick from the Pistons.
But Hart followed up and claimed that he was simply talking about Chelsea, his favorite soccer team.
Just moments before Hart’s post, Chelsea had conceded a goal to Brighton to fall behind 1-0 in their Premier League match.
Hart also laster posted “#COYB,” which stands for Come on You Blues — one of Chelsea’s rallying cries.
His complaints seemingly worked, as Chelsea scored three straight to go up 3-1 and later went into halftime leading 4-2.
Cole Palmer scored all four goals for Chelsea, and Hart gave him multiple shout-outs.
Hart has yet to publicly address the trade.
The Knicks and Timberwolves had been working on the deal for a while, The Post reported.
