Julie Andrews, 88, looks radiant on rare shopping outing in the Hamptons

Julie Andrews was spotted on her first public outing in over seven months as she stepped out for a shopping trip in the Hamptons.

On Monday, the 88-year-old actress could be seen getting into a gold SUV with the help of a cane. Her daughter Emma Walton Hamilton also followed close behind to support her.

For the outing, Andrews looked elegant in a white blazer with floral detailing, a cream blouse and black trousers.

She completed her look with blue sneakers, blue and gold earrings and a gold ring.

Andrews — who was in good spirits as she smiled for a quick snap before taking off — has been a long-time resident of Long Island, N.Y. since she moved to the area to be near Hamilton, 66.

The “Sound of Music” icon’s last public appearance was when she attended Carol Burnett’s 90th birthday special in March 2023, where she walked the red carpet.

However, she was spotted walking in Long Island with her cane in September 2023.

Despite her lack of public appearances, she has remained active in the Hollywood scene.

The iconic actress has lent her voice to the “Bridgerton” series as the show’s narrator, Lady Whistledown.

And last month, she spoke to Today.com to announce that “Princess Diaries 3,” in which she played Queen Clarisse Renaldi, was being “shelved” for now.

In December 2023, she also gushed over her “Mary Poppins” co-star Dick Van Dyke, who was celebrating his 98th birthday at the time.

She recalled him being “young, fit as can be and really gorgeous to look at” when they met for the filming of the 1964 Disney musical.

“I’d never made a movie before, and I’d given birth to my lovely daughter Emma nearly six weeks earlier, and I quickly realized that I had better pull my socks up and get in shape,” she said at the time.

“I found it pretty daunting, I can tell you. Dick could not have been kinder, more genuinely sweet and helpful. I like to think that we did bond instantly. How lucky I was to have him by my side for my first venture in Hollywood.”

Part 1 of “Bridgerton” Season 3 premieres May 16 on Netflix.
