Julius Randle’s new look revealed as mom acknowledges Knicks trade on Instagram: ‘Let’s go Wolves!’
Another member of Julius Randle’s family seems to be happy with his career move.
The three-time NBA All-Star donned a Tiger Woods T-shirt and showed off a new look in a picture posted to Instagram on Saturday night by his mother Carolyn Kyles.
It was the first picture of Randle following Friday’s blockbuster trade with the Timberwolves in which the Knicks shipped the the 29-year-old big man and Donte DiVincenzo to Minnesota and received Karl-Anthony Towns in return.
“New chapter new hair cut and beard!,” Kyles wrote. “Proud of you Ju @juliusrandle30 Let’s go Wolves!”
Randle’s wife Kendra reacted favorably to the trade earlier on Saturday, posting five eye-heart emojis alongside a photoshopped picture of her husband in a Timberwolves uniform.
She also commented on his new team’s projected lineup.
“Scary hours: Minnesota here we come,” she wrote in a subsequent post to her Instagram story.
The three-team swap, which is set to include the Hornets, also will reportedly ship out DaQuan Jeffries and a lottery-protected, first-round pick from the Pistons.
The trade ends an impressive five-year stint for Randle in New York, which included three All-Star teams three postseason berths for the Knicks.
Last season, Randle averaged 24.0 points, 9.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game through 46 contests before he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in late January.
Randle was expected to be ready to go for the Knicks this season but he and the team did not make progress on a possible extension, thus increasing the likelihood of a trade, ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne noted on X.
Just days earlier, Randle told The Post how Knicks fans have expressed their desire to remain with the team for the rest of his career.
“People telling me how much they love me being a Knick, how much the team needs me,” Randle said. “Telling me never to go anywhere. To be a Knick forever.”
