Karl-Anthony Towns and the New York Knicks will finish their two-game mini-series against the Washington Wizards on Monday.
With one day of rest in between, Towns will again look to contribute heavily to give the Knicks its eighth straight win. In their first game on Saturday, the Knicks escaped with a 136-132 overtime win. The Knicks survived a hot-shooting Wizards squad. Washington shot 44.7% (17-38) from threes, compared to the Knicks’ 25% shooting (10-40). The Wizards are just scoring 107.8 points a game this season.
Towns finished with 30 points and 14 rebounds. He shot 68.4% from the field (13-19). Jalen Brunson led the Knicks with a season-high 55 points.
Towns has been contributing well during the Knicks’ current seven-game winning streak, as he has three 30-point games, including Saturday’s victory at the nation’s capital.
