Karl-Anthony Towns’ Unresolved Feelings for Anthony Edwards and Minnesota Catches Ex-NBA Star’s Eye
After 4 years, the KAT-ANT duo comes to an end with the former being traded to the New York Knicks. But it seems Karl Anthony-Towns is still mentally in the Minnesota Timberwolves alongside his “brother” Anthony Edwards. How? KAT’s girlfriend, Jordyn Woods had a moment to share to attest to that.
Woods, on Wednesday, shared a video of Towns, completely absorbed in the Wolves’ 123-125 loss to the Chicago Bulls—while at a Billie Eilish concert in his new NBA home, Madison Square Garden. And that video caught the attention of none other than former NBA legend Kevin Garnett, a long-time supporter of the KAT-ANT duo.
The Big Ticket didn’t shy away from sharing his thoughts. He reposted the video alongside a picture of Towns and Edwards swapping jerseys after a preseason game, on his Instagram story. The caption read, “Damnnn yo…well never know 💔…. Salute to these 2 🫡💯.”

It’s tough for Garnett to see them split up, especially since the duo reminded him of his dynamic partnership with Paul Pierce.
On All the Smoke Productions before the trade, Garnett had praised their chemistry, saying, “[Ant and Karl-Anthony Towns] are the faces of the franchise. This is why me and [Paul Pierce] worked. You got to have a yin and a yang.” So after Towns was traded, Garnett expressed disbelief, writing, “still can’t believe this… onto the next part of the journey.”
And what was Edwards’ reaction? “I think everybody knows KAT my brother so that definitely hurt,” Edwards said. Towns’ discovery of his trade was also unusual.
Speaking on the Roommates Show, he shared that Timberwolves President Tim Connelly informed him in person, right at his house. “Tim told me to my face that I was traded… I gotta give him respect for that.” But even as they now wear different jerseys, one thing is clear: the bond between Towns and Edwards isn’t going anywhere.

Ant Man’s unwavering love for KAT
Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns recently reunited on the court for a preseason game where the Knicks edged out the Wolves 115-110. The competition may have been intense, but despite the on-court tension, it’s clear the bond between the former Timberwolves duo remains strong.
After the game, Edwards and Towns even exchanged their jerseys. And this moment’s photo Garnett shared in his story. Edwards opened up about the exchange, saying, “I told him like, ‘I don’t care who you already told you giving your jersey to, I got to have it.’” The Minnesota guard cherishes his brotherhod with KAT with a little bit of competition. “Competing against your brother is always fun.”

For Towns, the game was a homecoming of sorts after nearly a decade with Minnesota. He was all smiles as he greeted former teammates Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert, and his old coach Chris Finch. Of course, a heartfelt conversation with Anthony Edwards was part of the reunion too.
What stood out even more? Before the game, Edwards went straight to Towns’ dad, who was proudly rocking a Knicks hoodie, and shared a warm embrace. The brotherhood between Ant and KAT clearly runs deep, with no sign of fading anytime soon.
