Knicks Get Major Julius Randle Injury News Ahead of NBA Season
Just recently, it was announced that the chances of Julius Randle returning at the start of the season are high. Getting a player like Randle back is huge for the team. Randle has been a difference-maker to this team. Without his presence, New York wouldn’t be as good as they’re expected to be.
Randle, 29, is still recovering from an injury that ended his 2023-24 season. He dislocated his right shoulder which led him to miss the remainder of the year. The injury occurred during a win against the Miami Heat on Jan. 27. He and New York had some optimism that they’d be able to delay the surgery in hopes of being ready for the playoffs.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Randle had to go under season-ending surgery back in April.
According to ESPN’s Chris Herring, Randle “said his recovery is going well, and is expected to be ready and he’s expected to be ready to play by or near the start of the season.”
This is the type of news the Knicks want to hear. They need Randle to be 100% healthy as they prepare for their 2024-25 season.
To be clear, health has been an issue for this team as we have seen in the past. New York had dealt with multiple injury blows to other key players as well. These notable names include Josh Hart, OG Anunoby, and Jalen Brunson.
If they want to stand a chance against the defending champs Boston Celtics, staying healthy is crucial.
