Knicks’ Julius Randle to host Massapequa basketball camp Aug. 31

New York Knicks great Julius Randle will be in Massapequa on Aug. 31 to host a one-day youth basketball camp.

The NBA All-Star forward and a team of coaches will provide hands-on instruction to boys and girls aged 6 to 16. It’s one last opportunity this summer for young hoopsters to get a crash course court knowledge and skills, from one of the game’s best players.

Camp hours are from 1 to 5 p.m. inside the Fieldhouse Sports Complex, located at 5600 Old Sunrise Highway. Activities at the Julius Randle Youth Basketball Camp will include fundamental skill training, competitive stations and lectures.

The campers will be grouped according to age, to ensure proper levels of competition and instruction, camp organizers said.

“Whether your child is new to the game or a seasoned player looking to further develop their skills, we’re sure our camps will be of benefit to him or her,” said the camp’s organizer, Flexworks Sports, in a statement. “We are committed to providing your child with a second to none experience of a lifetime at an affordable price.”

Each camp participant receives the following items:

• Camp team photo with Randle.
• Limited-edition Julius Randle FlexWork Basketball Camp T-shirt.
• Take home items from event sponsors.
