Brown signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Knicks on Wednesday.
The 7-foot-2, 258-pound center spent the 2023-24 season with the Trail Blazers, appearing in 22 contests (five starts) while averaging 3.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per contest. After becoming a free agent in the offseason, Brown linked up with the Lakers for the Las Vegas Summer League, but he remained unsigned until striking a deal with the Knicks. The 24-year-old will get a chance to compete for a spot on the Knicks’ 15-man roster for the remainder of the preseason but could be headed to the G League’s Westchester Knicks if he gets cut before the Oct. 22 season opener versus the Celtics.
