Knicks vs. 76ers pick against the spread, over/under for Game 6

The New York Knicks will attempt to close out the Philadelphia 76ers Thursday when the two sides meet for Game 6 of their first-round series in the 2024 NBA Playoffs. The 76ers were able to stave off elimination with a clutch finish in Game 5, highlighted by Tyrese Maxey hitting a few crucial three-point shots to send the game to overtime. The Knicks would’ve been kicking themselves after believing they had the series in hand late in Game 5 but can now have to focus on grabbing a road win like they did in Game 4.

Bojan Bogdanovic is done for the season after having surgery to repair foot and wrist injuries, while Mitchell Robinson is questionable. Joel Embiid continues to be listed as questionable but will play.

The 76ers are 3-point favorites according to DraftKings Sportsbook with the total coming in at 201. Philadelphia is -155 on the moneyline while New York is +130.

Knicks vs. 76ers, 9 p.m. ET

Pick ATS: 76ers -3

Philadelphia is 22-13 ATS on the season as a home favorite, even though that record could be clouded a bit with Embiid missing so much time. New York is 12-13-1 ATS as a road underdog, meaning the Game 4 result was a somewhat unlikely one. The question will be whether the 76ers can take advantage of the lifeline they’ve been given.

Embiid continues to power through his knee issues and has gotten a big boost from Maxey, who exploded for 46 points in the last contest. Even though Jalen Brunson can carry the Knicks, there’s probably some momentum going Philadelphia’s way at the moment. I think the 76ers are able to force Game 7.

Over/Under: Over 201

Four of the five games in this series have gone over this mark, although the last two games should’ve gone under had Game 5 not gone to overtime. There have been some major offensive lulls over the last two games, with the end of Game 4 and the beginning of Game 5 being particularly hard to watch. Fatigue might be setting in a bit but this total is too low to feel good about taking the under. I’ll back both offenses to be a bit more consistent and avoid major scoring droughts tonight.
