Knicks vs. Pacers predictions: Best series props in second round of 2024 NBA playoffs
The New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers will add a new chapter to their historic rivalry when the two sides meet in the second round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Both teams took six games to advance from the first round, with the Knicks taking out the 76ers while the Pacers outlasted the Bucks. Indiana won the regular-season series between the two teams 2-1.
Here we’ll break down some of our favorite series props for this matchup, with odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Knicks vs. Pacers series props
Knicks -1.5 games series spread (-125)
You can take New York at -2.5 games (+165), which I have actually predicted will happen. However, this line allows you to account for Indiana potentially holding serve at home for the first two games. The Pacers have generally played much better home this season. The Knicks have a better overall team with more consistent rotation players who have fit into their roles for longer. Indiana hasn’t had to deal with much adversity, while New York has battled for months now with injury issues. I think the Knicks make quick work of Indiana, and I don’t see this series reaching Game 7. That makes this spread line a strong play.
Knicks to win Game 1/Knicks to win series (-140)
New York and Indiana both advanced on the same day, so there’s no rest disadvantage for either side. The Knicks have been locked in at home this season and are one of the best defensive teams in the league with the backing of their fans. Meanwhile, Indiana’s offense looked out of sorts on the road in the first round. I see New York setting the tone in Game 1 at home and going on to win the series, making this a good prop to back.
5 games in series (+260)
If you think this series won’t be a sweep and won’t go to Game 7, you can lock in 6 games (+220) and make some type of money provided you also lock in this prop. As mentioned earlier, I don’t think the Pacers really faced a true test in the opening round and managed to overcome their own inconsistent play. That won’t fly against the Knicks, who have been a well-oiled machine for the last few months. I don’t think Indiana has an answer for Brunson, and that’ll lead to a short series. I’ll give the Pacers a game at home, but not much more.
