‘Major injury’ reported in bottle attack at Zara store in Manhattan: officials

NEW YORK (PIX11) – A person suffered a ‘major injury’ after reportedly being attacked with a bottle at a Zara store in Manhattan, authorities said.

Officers from the fifth precinct responded to a 911 call for an assault on 503 Broadway at 3:07 p.m., police said.

EMS transported the victim to a local hospital to be treated for a major injury, FDNY said.

The streets of Soho, where the incident occurred, were filled with people and cars. Citizen video showed two ambulances at the scene with lights flashing.

Details leading up to the incident remain unclear, but police say the incident happened inside the store.

An investigation remains ongoing, authorities said.
