Man Injured in Shooting at Utica Business

UTICA, N.Y. — A man was injured in a shooting near the intersection of Court Street and Whitesboro Street on Monday afternoon, according to the Utica Police Department.

Police and fire units responded to the scene at approximately 1:45 p.m. after reports of a gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.

According to initial reports, several men entered the victim’s place of business, where an altercation ensued. During the confrontation, one of the suspects fired several shots, striking the victim once in the leg.

The injured man was transported to Wynn Hospital by the Utica Fire Department, where he received treatment for his injuries.

Authorities have not released further information regarding the suspects involved or the current condition of the victim. The investigation is ongoing.

    Baltimore, Md. — A 19-year-old was shot early yesterday morning in Northwest Baltimore.

    Just after midnight, Northwest District patrol officers responded to a local hospital following a report of a walk-in shooting victim.

    Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old male suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Investigators later determined that the shooting occurred in the 3700 block of Columbus Drive.

  • Two Teens Arrested in Northwest D.C. Robbery

    WASHINGTON, D.C. — Two 15-year-old males from Northeast D.C. were swiftly arrested after an early morning robbery in Northwest Washington.

    On Sunday, at approximately 12:30 a.m., a victim reported being assaulted and robbed by a group in the 3000 block of 11th Street, Northwest. Officers, acting on the victim’s description, quickly located and apprehended two suspects who were found in possession of the stolen property. Both suspects were charged with Robbery (Force and Violence).
