Monday Night Football: Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets Open Live Thread & Game Information
Tonight’s Monday Night Football game features a showdown between two AFC East rivals. Both teams come into this evening’s game on losing streaks. The New York Jets not only lost their head coach, Robert Saleh, who was fired last week, but they have also lost their last two games. The Jets only managed nine points two weeks ago in a 10 to 9 loss at the hands of the Denver Broncos before dropping last week’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, 23 to 17.
The Bills are also on a two-game losing streak. Two weeks ago, they lost 35 to 10 in a blowout to the Baltimore Ravens. Buffalo followed their week four loss with another loss last weekend to the Houston Texans, 23 to 20. Despite their 3 and 2 record, the Bills still held onto first place in the AFC East going into this past weekend, pending this evening’s game results.

—My Pick: While this evening’s line is tight, the Bills still own the AFC East until someone can step up and prove otherwise. The Jets are a complete mess despite managing two wins this season, and that dysfunction that has long been their calling card will likely carry on through this season. The Jets have a great defense, but the Bills are a better team at this point, and at this point in their careers, Josh Allen is just a better quarterback than Aaron Rodgers. The Bills should win and cover the line this evening.
