More Big Lots stores to close in NY. Find out where

Even more Big Lots stores are closing in New York.

Seven additional stores are closing throughout the Empire State, according to the company’s website and a recent court filing, bringing the current total to 19 stores shutting their doors statewide. The closures are part of a sale agreement with an affiliate of Nexus Capital Management LP, Big Lots announced in a news release last month.

In July, Big Lots announced its plans to close 35 to 40 stores in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing, then the number rose to 315 in another filing in August.

Here’s what to know.

Which Big Lots stores in New York are closing?

Previously, the following 12 locations were listed as closing, touting discounts between 20% to 60% off:

Binghamton: 10 Glenwood Ave. in Binghamton
Buffalo – Linden Corners: 2276 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo
Buffalo – Sloan: 698 S. Ogden St. in Buffalo
Canandaigua: 4406 State Route 5 & 20, Suite 129, in Canandaigua
Carle Place: 260 Voice Rd. in Carle Place, Long Island
Centereach: 231 Centereach Mall in Centereach, Long Island
Ithaca: 2309 N Triphammer Road in Ithaca
New Hartford: 4645 Commercial Drive in New Hartford, near Utica
Plattsburgh: 316 Cornelia St. in Plattsburgh
Poughkeepsie: 43 Burnett Blvd. in Poughkeepsie
Queensbury: 751 Upper Glen St., Suite 2, in Queensbury, north of Albany
Troy: 120 Hoosick St., Suite 12, in Troy

Recently, the following five stores also were marked as closing on the Big Lots website, as of Oct. 10:

Geneva: 785 Canandaigua Rd. in Geneva
Hicksville: 275 S. Broadway in Hicksville
Kingston: 1375 Ulster Ave. in Kingston
Middletown: 400 Route 211 E Ste 28 in Middletown

The Wappingers Falls location at 1574 Route 9 and the Irondequoit location at 525 Titus Ave. Ste 15 were not marked as closing on the website as of Thursday afternoon, but are listed in a recent court filing.
