Morning Briefing for the Capital Region & HV: June 6, 2024

Good morning, New York. Here’s what you need to know today.

Your Weather Planner

A wet and muggy morning is here with temperatures close to 70. After some morning rain showers, we see hazy sun and clouds before a few more clusters of showers and locally strong thunderstorms develop this afternoon through the evening. A few storms could contain locally heavy rain and strong winds this afternoon, so it’s best to head into a sturdy shelter and let the storms pass. Highs this afternoon should reach the upper 70s to low 80s. We dry out overnight with patchy fog and less muggy air, with lows in the upper 50s to near 60. The next few days feature more seasonable temperatures and a few showers and storms in the afternoons.
