Morning Briefing in Central New York: August 27

Good morning, New York. Here’s what you need to know today.

Your Weather Planner

Today is going to be hot and muggy with a few showers and storms developing west of I-81 in the evening. Otherwise, it’ll be mainly dry with plenty of sunshine. Highs will be in the 80s to around 90 central and south with low to mid 80s north.

A cold front Wednesday keeps us unsettled with continued shower and storm chances. Wednesday won’t be as hot, but it will remain uncomfortably muggy.

Thursday and much of Friday look mainly dry ahead of another front Friday night into parts of Saturday.

A weaker front arrives Sunday night with a few showers, setting us up for a cool Labor Day in the 60s.
