Nassau County International Cricket Stadium nears completion, ICC releases latest timelapse footage
The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, set to be a cricketing marvel, is nearing completion, with a recent timelapse unveiling its grandeur. Situated in New York, this state-of-the-art stadium boasts a capacity of 34,000 seats and is on the verge of final touches, including the installation of playing surfaces.
Crafted meticulously, the four drop-in pitches, nurtured with native Tahoma 31 Bermuda grass, have been cultivated in Florida by Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions and US-based sports turf experts LandTek Group. Thanks to the support of the ICC’s Official Global Logistics Partner DP World, these pitches have successfully completed their journey of over 1000 miles to find their home in the heart of Eisenhower Park.
The metamorphosis of the site over the past four months has been nothing short of remarkable, evolving from a grass field to a world-class cricketing arena. The premium hospitality and media pavilions, located to the north and south, are nearing completion, promising a spectacular viewing and fan experience coupled with top-notch hospitality.
